In the early hours of Sunday morning, a violent incident unfolded in the northern part of Bielefeld's city center, leaving at least five party-goers injured, some severely. The attack occurred outside the 'Cutie' bar, where a large group had been celebrating at a house party themed 'DJ Master Action Zone'. According to police reports, an unidentified individual approached the group and assaulted several attendees with a sharp object, believed to be a knife or knives.
The police have since confirmed that five individuals were wounded in the attack, with three sustaining serious injuries. All victims are currently receiving medical treatment at local hospitals. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional victims. At the scene, several knives were recovered, one or more of which may have been used in the assault.
The suspect, described as a male with dark hair, a dark complexion, and wearing black outerwear, a basecap, a white T-shirt, and a blue or black North Face jacket, managed to flee the scene. He is approximately 165 to 170 cm tall and may have facial injuries. The police have warned the public not to approach the individual, as he is likely still armed and dangerous. A murder investigation team has been established to lead the search for the suspect.
Witnesses to the attack are urged to come forward and share any photo or video evidence they may have with the police. The Mindener Straße has been closed in the direction of the city center due to the ongoing police operation. The community is on high alert as authorities continue their intensive manhunt for the perpetrator.
